Don't let the rising RAM and GPU prices deter you from upgrading to a gaming PC that you deserve. Look hard enough and there are still good deals to be found. Case in point, Newegg via Walmart is currently offering a Thermaltake GeForce RTX 5070 Gaming PC for just $1,400 with free shipping. Currently, this is the best price I can find for a RTX 5070 prebuilt.
The Thermaltake LGCS gaming PC is equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GPU, 16GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The Intel Core i5-14400F CPU is a previous generation CPU with 10 total cores and a max turbo frequency of 4.7GHz. It's a solid gaming chip when paired with a discrete graphics card.
The GeForce RTX 5070 is the best Nvidia card for 1080p and 1440p gaming and by itself this card retails for $600 (although generally it's higher these days). It's also powerful enough to run most games at 4K, although at that point you'll see noticeable gains jumping up to a 5070 Ti. Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 offers a slight performance improvement over the RTX 4070 Super, which was and still is an excellent GPU.
