Hyperithm Curates New USDC Vault on Leading Solana Protocol Kamino | HackerNoon
Quinn · 2026-07-10 · via HackerNoon

Launch Announcement

On June 30, Kamino Finance launched its Hyperithm USDC Apex Vault on the Solana lending protocol. This vault uses a collection of yield strategies designed by Hyperithm, a compliant digital asset manager located in Tokyo and Seoul. SolanaFloor has reported the release of the Vault.

Vault Details

Depositors can open with USDC to receive interest from lending strategies of Hyperithm; the risks evaluated by Kamino indicate that this is a “Balanced” vault risk. It was stated that the USDC Vault will have an estimated APY of around 6.77% with about $200,000 of total value locked; these amounts represent a static point in time and will change depending on market fluctuations.

Participants’ Backgrounds

Kamino is the largest Protocol on the Solana blockchain for lending & liquidity; the value locked in the protocol is estimated in the billions. Since at least 2025, it has increasingly teamed up with external curators to increase the number of off-chain yields offered to depositors.

Hyperithm, established in 2018, specializes in quantitative trading and digital asset management and is regulated in Japan and South Korea. It has also previously launched similar USDC -based vaults using Ethereum's Morpho Protocol, where one of the flagship vaults has approximately tens of millions of dollars in total locked value. The alliance combines a leading lending-focused solution with an establishment that has successfully deployed institutional-type strategies within the Ethereum ecosystem.

Background

Kamino's USDC strategy has traditionally resulted in annualized yield rates in the range of 4-9%. The initial 6.77% quotation for the new Kamino vault is located somewhere within the lower half of this range. As stated in the CryptoBriefing coverage marketplace repo for Hyperithm’s Morpho-aligned vaults, this comparison room employed million-dollar deposits within Ethereum, and this data might establish how the Solana vaults will perform over the long run.

Future outlook

Normal DeFi risks exist with these sorts of vaults, including those associated with smart contract bugs with Kamino’s platform, adherence to Hyperithm’s allocation decisions, composability of protocols, and potentially less liquidity leading to more risk (less than Hyperithm's largest morpheo vouches). Each Kamino vault will currently be open and available for capital deposits via Kamino’s platform.
