We've added a new column to Insights for Vitess databases to help you better understand the behavior and performance impact of queries that require communicating with multiple shards (VTTablets) during their execution.
For Vitess databases with one or more sharded keyspaces, you can now use the Tablet calls per query column to view the average number of tablets that are used during query execution for each query pattern. This data can help you identify queries that require distributed execution across multiple tablets, and monitor how this quantity is changing over time.
