因 Freenode 近期的不当管理行为，作为 Freenode 的用户与北京 GNU/Linux 用户组的维护者，我们不得不对 Freenode 官方能否在未来继续妥善管理社区一事上表示怀疑。因此，我们决定将北京 GNU/Linux 用户组的官方 IRC 迁移至 LiberaChat 与 OFTC，其具体位置是：

Port: 6697 with SSL enable, or 7000
Channel: #beijinglug

现有 Freenode IRC 频道将在短期内继续运行，并使用 IRC 机器人与 OFTC 和 LiberaChat 进行信息桥街。更新：因 Freenode 管理不当导致的技术问题，Freenode 信息转发已完全停止。现 Freenode 所有频道全部停止维护，请立刻迁移。

因为大量原 Freenode 用户已经迁移到 LiberaChat，我们创建了上述的 LiberaChat 的 IRC 频道。但因 LiberaChat 作为新项目的不确定性，再加上不允许 Tor 用户注册账号的政策不利于用户隐私，我们建议条件方便的用户加入我们的 OFTC（而不是 LiberaChat）的频道。

Due to the recent mismanagement actions at Freenode, as users of Freenode and maintainers of Beijing GNU/Linux User Group, we have our doubts on whether the Freenode official management is able to continue managing the community appropriately. Therefore, we’ve decided to migrate our official IRC channels to LiberaChat and OFTC. Their locations are:

The existing Freenode IRC channel will continue to operate in the short future, with IRC bots to bridge messages at OFTC and LiberaChat. Update: due to technical problems created by Freenode’s mismanagement, message forwarding to Freenode has completely stopped. Currently, we’ve stopped to maintain any of the existing Freenode channels. Please migrate immediately.

Because a large number of existing Freenode users have already migrated to LiberaChat, we’ve created the aforementioned LiberaChat channel. Nevertheless, considering that LiberaChat as new project has its uncertainties, and that account registration via Tor is disallowed by its policies is unhelpful for user privacy, we suggest users to join our OFTC IRC channel (instead of LiberaChat) if it’s convenient for you to do so.
