Is that really correct?

Reading the page, the software needs an update due to Apple breaking it, but 2019 is out of support so Microsoft won't fix the breaking change.

It amuses me how Microsoft spent the last two decades trying to fix the reputation they had from the 90s and threw it all away in like a year

2024 LTSC works after the date specified btw. Probably a good idea™ to also disable auto update by compressing the update .app and disabling the privileged helper.
