The NFL will release its full 2026 schedule at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, the first time the Bills will see the dates and times of their games.

Buffalo is already aware of its opponents for the season; here are the 14 teams the Bills are set to face this year.

Houston Texans

Los Angeles Rams

The Bills are up against some impressive teams on this year’s schedule, and here are three matchups that would be exciting to see Buffalo face off against in Week 1 of the season.

Patriots

The Patriots turned into one of the standout stories in the NFL last season. After finishing with only four wins in 2024, they bounced back dramatically to claim the AFC East title, secure the conference championship, and reach the Super Bowl this past season.

New England has snatched the AFC East title away from the Bills, who likely thought they would be in full control of the division for quite some time. The Patriots boast one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, Drake Maye, and watching Maye and Josh Allen square off in Week 1 would be quite the spectacle.

It would greatly enhance the matchup if the game were played in Buffalo at the Bills’ new stadium, set to open this season.

Ravens

Another intriguing matchup for the Bills in their season opener would be against the Ravens, a team they faced in Week 1 last season. Buffalo found itself trailing for much of the game, and at one point, the Bills were down 40-25 with under five minutes left on the clock. However, the Bills pulled off a miraculous comeback and won the game. Watching these two teams go head-to-head in Week 1 this season would certainly be exciting!

Both teams underwent significant changes this offseason, with the Bills parting ways with head coach Sean McDermott and promoting Joe Brady to take over as head coach. Meanwhile, the Ravens let go of head coach John Harbaugh and hired Jesse Minter as his replacement.

Last year’s matchup aired on “Sunday Night Football,” but that won’t be the case in Week 1 this season. This year, the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are set to face off in the same time slot on “Sunday Night Football.”

Broncos

The Bills watched their season come to an end in Denver back in January, and opening up the new season in the place that effectively marked the end of McDermott’s tenure as head coach would certainly be something the NFL could arrange.

Denver eliminated Buffalo in the divisional round during a season when it truly felt like the Bills were on the brink of a Super Bowl run. That playoff game didn’t just impact the Bills; it also had significant repercussions for the Broncos. Quarterback Bo Nix suffered an injury in that game, which forced him to miss Denver’s AFC title game loss to the Patriots.
