Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski attend the 2021 Sports Illustrated Awards at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Tom Brady’s post-retirement, post-divorce spotlight isn’t slowing down — and now one of the people who knows him best is weighing in.

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski offered a candid — and telling — assessment of Tom Brady during a recent interview with Page Six, describing the seven-time Super Bowl champion as being firmly in stride as attention around his personal life continues to build.

“Believe it or not, that’s a surprise answer. It really is. But Tom is on a hot streak right now,” Gronkowski said. “He’s ready to go. So, hey, it’s Tom I’m going to go with.”

The comment lands at a moment when Brady remains one of the most talked-about figures in sports — not for what he’s doing on the field, but for what comes next off it.

Brady’s Post-Divorce Spotlight Isn’t Fading

Since finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen in 2022 after 13 years of marriage, Brady has been a constant presence in headlines, with fans and media closely tracking his appearances, business moves, and personal life.

From high-profile public outings to persistent speculation about his dating life, Brady’s status as one of the most recognizable — and eligible — figures in sports has only intensified in retirement.

Gronkowski’s “hot streak” remark doesn’t come out of nowhere. It reflects a broader perception that Brady has seamlessly transitioned into a new phase of life, one where his influence extends well beyond football.

Gronkowski’s Advice: Treat It Like the Game

During the same interview, Gronkowski leaned into a familiar theme when asked what advice he’d give his former quarterback when it comes to dating.

“Just follow your heart, Tom,” Gronkowski said with a cheeky grin, adding, “You know, wherever your heart is leading you, wherever your gut instinct is leading you. Just follow that heart, Tom.”

He doubled down on the comparison between Brady’s approach to football and how he should navigate his personal life.

“Just like he has with the game of football, treat the game of football…like how you treat dating and you’ll be very successful. Like, a number one draft time,” he said.

The message is classic Gronkowski — lighthearted on the surface, but rooted in a deeper understanding of Brady’s relentless focus and instincts, traits that defined his two-decade NFL career.

Familiar Names Still in the Mix

Gronkowski also offered a glimpse into Brady’s inner circle when asked who would be the most fun at a party — throwing out names that Patriots fans will instantly recognize.

When asked who would be the most fun at a party — Brady, Julian Edelman or Mike Vrabel — Gronkowski didn’t hesitate: “It’s got to be Tom.”

As for former Patriots teammate Julian Edelman, Gronkowski said he would have been number one, but the retired wide receiver has “calmed down his wild ways.”

Gronkowski also acknowledged that he never crossed paths with Mike Vrabel during their respective tenures in New England, noting the different timelines in their careers.

A New Chapter — With the Same Spotlight

Even without a helmet or playbook, Brady remains a central figure in the sports world. His next chapter — whether it’s broadcasting, business ventures, or simply enjoying life off the field — continues to draw attention at a level few athletes ever sustain after retirement.

And if Gronkowski’s assessment is any indication, Brady isn’t just navigating that spotlight — he’s thriving in it.

“Because he just can’t handle it,” Gronkowski joked when discussing Brady potentially joining him at public events. “You know, he has no dance moves like I have.”

Still, the invitation stands.

“He has full VIP if he ever wants to come,” he said. “And if for some reason he’s in Vegas, I’ll have to tell him, ‘Hey, just make an appearance. Let’s take a couple shots. Now, you’re not playing anymore. I’m not playing anymore. We can enjoy our time.’”

For Brady, the setting may have changed — but the spotlight hasn’t. And as Gronkowski put it, he’s making the most of it.
