San Francisco 49ers’ tight end George Kittle has never shied away from living life to the fullest. That’s part of why NFL fans love him.

The “People’s Tight End” offseason tour continued over the weekend at BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley, where the star went viral for chugging a beer while waiting for the Backstreet Boys to take the stage.

Naturally, he was wearing a Stone Cold Steve Austin “Austin 3:16” jersey while doing it, because, after all, he is George Kittle.

Kittle’s offseason seems to be built around a simple premise: Good vibes only. One minute he’s defending Travis Kelce online for chugging beers courtside at an NBA playoff game, the next he’s posting stories about killing spiders with rehab equipment at 4 a.m. while recovering from a torn Achilles.

Kittle seems to be enjoying every minute of it.

When a critic went after Kelce for “acting like a teenager” after his viral beer-chugging moment with Taylor Swift nearby, Kittle jumped in quickly.

“Maybe have fun?” Kittle fired back on social media, later adding, “It’s ok to have a good time responsibly.”

That mindset has come to define Kittle on and off the field. Football matters deeply to him, but so does enjoying life while he can still live it full speed. And even between the lines, he seems to be relishing every minute.

The seven-time Pro Bowler has become one of the NFL’s most recognizable personalities because he never feels manufactured. Whether he’s hyping Tight End University with Kelce and Greg Olsen or attending (and participating in) WWE events with a beer in hand, Kittle leans fully into who he is.

Kittle is balancing all of this while working through one of the toughest injuries in football.

Kittle tore his Achilles during the playoffs in January, but there’s growing optimism he could be ready for Week 1. The injury reportedly occurred higher, near the soleus muscle, which typically allows for a smoother recovery than a traditional tear.

Until then, Kittle appears committed to rehab, vibes and living life larger than everybody else around him. Or, in true Backstreet Boys fashion, he’s saying, ‘I want it that way.’
