Your Friends and Neighbors fans, the confrontation you’ve been waiting for is finally here.
In this DECIDER-exclusive clip from this week’s episode of the Apple TV drama, Mel (Amanda Peet) is finally getting the chance to air out her grievances with Sam (Olivia Munn) after tension has been building since the end of Season 1. For anyone who may forget, Mel has been holding a grudge against Sam, who framed Coop (Jon Hamm) for murder last season… which, like, fair.
In the sneak peek at the upcoming episode, Mel is casually shooting hoops as Sam walks up to ask if this is finally the time for them to talk. Obviously, Mel — who has spent the entire second season thus far avoiding Sam at any cost — is less than enthused and does everything in her power to shut it down before things go any further.
“I just want to talk to you, I just want to—“ Sam says as Mel interjects, “What, you want to explain? Like you can chalk this up to some misunderstanding?”
“Apologize,” Sam responds.
“I don’t think you fully comprehend what you did. And frankly, I think it’s insane that all these people here seem to have forgotten about what you did, you were going to set up—“ Mel says as Sam says she doesn’t care if anyone else accepts her back in the group, she only cares about Mel. To that, Peet’s character gets to the core of the issue and whips back, “If you cared about me, you wouldn’t have f**ked my husband.”

Yikes. Watch the full clip from Season 2 Episode 5 (“Halfway To Invisible”) in the player above.
While the rest of the town seems to have decided Sam could walk back into their good graces some hard-selling, it really seems like Mel is going to stand pretty firm on keeping Sam at arms length. Who knows, though, maybe these former besties can figure it out, after all. Only time will tell.
The first four episodes of Your Friends and Neighbors Season 2 are now streaming on Apple TV. New episodes release Fridays.
