Barcelona have the chance to do something that hasn’t been done often on Sunday. They can win La Liga in a match against their bitter rivals. A win or draw is all they need to lift the trophy on Sunday. They don’t necessarily need the win, but I think they will. Barca are in a much better spot than Madrid right now overall, and I think they get the three points this weekend and secure yet another league title.

Barca have won ten, yes ten, straight games in the league. You have to go all the way back to February 16th to find their last loss. They’ve won five more games than any other team, scored 19 more goals and conceded the joint fewest. This was always their league to lose. Their home form has been incredible, winning all 17 of their home matches. In those games, they’ve scored a whopping 92 goals, conceding only nine.

For Real Madrid, this game will be the end to a very disappointing season. Los Blancos are accustomed to collecting multiple trophies, but that’s not going to be the case in 2025/26. They’ve only won two of their last five La Liga games, which has all but sealed their fate in this competition.

This will be the third El Clásico of the season, with both teams winning one game so far. Barca have won each of their last two games against their rivals, and I expect them to make it three in a row on Sunday.
