The NHL Western Conference Final begins tonight as the Colorado Avalanche host the Vegas Golden Knights at 8 p.m. ET. This should be a fun series with plenty of star power, and with Cale Makar sidelined for the opener due to injury, there’s a chance that we could see an upset to start things off. MacKinnon, Marner, Necas and Eichel… let the games begin!
We’re looking towards tonight’s schedule for the best anytime goal scorer picks on DraftKings Sportsbook. Follow along for betting insights, predictions and best bets for who’ll find the back of the net this evening.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve written up Jack Eichel as an anytime goal scorer multiple times to no avail. At some point, the dam must break. Vegas’ star center has put plenty of pucks on the net this postseason, which is why I gave him a nod today for 4+ shots on goal in today’s top player props article. Despite leading the Golden Knights with 35 shots on goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he’s only put one puck into the back of the net. That factors out to a shooting percentage of just 2.9%, which is obviously unsustainably low. He finished at a 10.4% clip during the regular season — a slight downtick from 12.0%, 11.2% and 12.1% over the last three years prior — so you can obviously see how perhaps this postseason figure is an aberration. At some point, he’s bound to light the lamp again.
I also picked Martin Necas for over 0.5 assists earlier today in the top player props piece since he’s racked up 10 helpers in just nine games this postseason. With that in mind, I’m looking toward his linemates Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog as candidates to score goals tonight. However, the -140 odds on MacKinnon potting a shot aren’t really worth it, so instead I’m targeting Landeskog as a goal scorer tonight. The Avs’ captain has three goals in the playoffs thus far, with just one last series. He’s now gone three games without scoring despite logging 13 shots on goal over that span, and with 23 total shots on goal during this run, he’s fourth on the team in attempts. MacKinnon and Necas should open things up for him and it’s no surprise to see the Swedish veteran operating as the net-front guy. This top line should continue to click, so +250 odds on a Landeskog goal it is.
