The best players in the world are all at Roland-Garros for the 2026 French Open. It should be an incredible tournament in Paris on both the men’s and women’s sides.

Joao Fonseca vs. Dino Prizmic: Fonseca ML (-121)

This is a battle of two very exciting young players. Fonseca broke onto the scene last year by winning his first ATP title at just 18 years old. That title came in Argentina on clay. He then won a second title in Switzerland in October. Fonseca is now trying to make his mark at Roland-Garros. He made it to the third round of the French Open last year, after pulling off a big upset over Hubert Hurkacz. So far this year, Fonseca has reached the Round of 16 at Indian Wells and the quarter-finals at the BMW Open and the Monte-Carlo Masters. Fonseca took down Luka Pavlovic in straight sets at Roland-Garros to start the campaign.

Dino Primzic is only 20 years old and has made the second round of a major for the first time. Primzic picked up a win over qualifier Michael Zheng in the first round. He is now set for a big matchup against Joao Fonseca. Primzic has yet to prove himself at the ATP level, but he is undoubtedly a clay specialist. He has been to seven career finals on the ATP Challenger Tour. Six of those seven finals were in clay tournaments. This is a big chance for Primzic, but he is not yet on Fonseca’s level. Fonseca has proved he can compete with some of the world’s best players this year. Until Primzic can prove the same, I’ll back Fonseca to win this match.

Jasmine Paolini vs. Solana Sierra: Sierra ML (+149)

Jasmine Paolini has been in freefall over the past few months. Paolini made it as high as No. 4 in the WTA rankings back in 2024. That year, she made it to the final at both Roland-Garros and Wimbledon. However, everything has been downhill since. She dropped to No. 8 in the end-of-year 2025 WTA rankings and in the current live WTA rankings, she sits at 13th in the world. Things have been awful during this clay season. In Stuttgart, she was upset by World No. 66 Zeynep Sonmez in the first round. In Madrid, Hailey Baptiste took her down in the Round of 32. Most recently, she lost in the Round of 32 in Rome as the defending champion.

Paolini got a win in the first round, but faces a tougher opponent in the second round. Solana Sierra is an up-and-coming player who is nine years younger than her opponent. Sierra is a great clay player, winning two titles on this surface on the Challenger Tour last year. She put up good showings in Madrid and Rome and is hoping for another one here in Paris. In this match, I will back the youngster to take down the declining Paolini and secure the biggest victory of her career so far.
