MLB Best Bets: Top NRFI props for Wednesday 5/13/26
Bryan Armett · 2026-05-13 · via DraftKings Network

Bryan Armetta shares his two favorite MLB NRFI prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s 15-game slate.

15 games between 30 teams are on tap this Wednesday across Major League Baseball. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look today?

Ahead of Wednesday’s MLB contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Rays vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-140)

Tampa Bay has always been willing to go the unconventional route when it comes to starting pitching. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the team has found success using reliever Griffin Jax as an opener. The right-hander has allowed only two earned runs over his previous nine innings of work. For his career, Jax has allowed a first inning run just twice in 19 starts (10.5%). On the flip side, Toronto’s bats have been a massive disappointment this season. The Blue Jays are averaging 4.17 runs per game, ninth-worst in baseball. To boot, their 26.19% YRFI rate is tied for the league’s 11th-lowest mark.

For the home team, prized offseason acquisition Dylan Cease will get the nod. The right-hander has been a bright spot so far, looking the part of a high-priced ace. Through 45.1 innings of work, he’s notched a 2.58 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and American League-leading 66 strikeouts. In comparison, Tampa Bay’s lineup can be somewhat inconsistent, especially away from Tropicana Field. The Rays have posted a 25.93% YRFI rate on the road, sixth-worst in baseball. That’s not ideal, especially when facing an All-Star caliber arm in Cease.

Giants vs. Dodgers NRFI (-150)

Three straight wins have given the much-maligned Giants some hope for the first time all season. To keep the momentum going, San Francisco will hand the ball to Robbie Ray tonight. The former Cy Young winner has become one of the sport’s most underrated arms. Over eight appearances this season, he’s recorded a 2.76 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 47 strikeouts. It’s worth noting that the veteran tends to do well at the start of games. He’s accounted for a 2.48 ERA in the first inning since 2025. On the flip side, Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup has looked off recently. The Dodgers have scored 12 runs over their last five games, second-worst in the majors during that stretch.

LA will look to bounce back following four straight losses. Fortunately for the defending champs, Shohei Ohtani will be toeing the slab this evening. The four-time MVP has won just about every accolade in the league except for a Cy Young. So far, he’s making a strong push for the award. Through 37.0 innings of work, the Japanese phenom has posted a 0.97 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 42 strikeouts. Now, he’ll get to face a Giants squad averaging an MLB-worst 3.45 runs per game. On paper, this is an indestructible force against a very movable object.
