Indie App Spotlight: 'Brink' brings a feature-rich experi...

Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.

If you’re looking to level up your podcast experience, check out Brink. It’s a well made iOS podcast app with rich features, including a news tab, podcast summaries, trending podcasts, AI playlists, and much more. It’s also well made for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, and feels right at home on the iPhone.

Top features

There’s loads of podcast apps out there, many of which will cover the basics just fine. Brink goes above and beyond with a number of features for heavy users.

First and foremost, it packs multi-language AI transcriptions, proper podcast summaries, the ability to write bookmarks and take notes, and the ability to read the news stories related to the podcast while you’re listening.

Brink also has some neat social features, including listening statistics, a map view to see all of the trending podcasts at different points in the world, and a brief feature that allows you to combine similar podcast clips into your own episode.

To put the cherry on top, it also integrates with Apple Health, showcasing how many steps you’ve taken and how many calories you’ve burned whilst listening to the podcast.

Download the app

Brink is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad users running iOS 26 and later. For the full experience, you can check out Brink Plus, which is available for $3.99/month, $9.99/year, or $49.99 lifetime.
