Ansel Elgort recently celebrated his partner on Mother’s Day in an Instagram post. In a carousel of photos, the new father shared snaps of himself and his family, as well as a couple of pictures of himself and his partner, whom he revealed to be called Miona.

“Happy Mother’s Day, my Miona,” the Baby Driver (2017) actor captioned the photo. Elgort welcomed his firstborn in January this year and made headlines when he was spotted by paparazzi enjoying an outing in New York with his newborn, per Just Jared.

Elgort has maintained a relatively low profile in Hollywood despite continuing to work in the entertainment industry after he was accused in 2020 of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 2014. While the actor has denied the claims, he remarked online that he and the girl had “a brief, legal and entirely consensual relationship”. He was 20 at the time, per the BBC.

Multiple media outlets have reported that Elgort’s partner is of Japanese descent and that she might be engaged to The Fault in Our Stars actor. The former appeared corroborated by a clip of Miona speaking to her baby in Japanese, while eagle-eyed Elgort fans noted that his mysterious baby mama seemed to be wearing a diamond engagement ring in several photos shared on his Instagram.

Elgort first confirmed that he’d become a father in a February post, writing, “Fatherhood is exhilarating, exhausting – it’s everything and more,” adding, “I wanted to keep it sacred, just for us, but now I want to share this story with you as it’s the brightest, happiest thing I’ve ever experienced. I hope it brings you happiness too.”
