On May 9th, 2026, I stopped by Tilden Regional Parks Botanic Garden when I was hiking in Tilden Regional Park at Berkeley. There are a variety of birds living in the garden, including California Towhee, Stellar’s Jay, Anna’s Hummingbird, Black-Eyed Junco, Western Flycatcher, Bushtit, and more.
There are many birdwatchers in the garden. One lady showed me the unique, hanging “sock” nest of Bushtits, which is something that I have never seen before. I also ran into a small wedding event in the garden.
