Temperatures are soaring into the upper 80s Wednesday following a day of record-breaking heat – and Boston Public Schools are feeling the heat.

Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s and into the 90s, with a heat advisory in effect across eastern and central Massachusetts until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to data compiled by the district’s indoor air quality dashboard, all BPS schools are averaging an indoor temperature of 76.49 degrees as of Wednesday morning, a Boston.com analysis found.

Charlestown High School recorded the highest average temperature at 84.59 degrees, while Mattapan’s Young Achiever’s K-8 school recorded the coolest average temperature at 70.05 degrees.

Boston Public Schools did not immediately return a request for comment.
