American Express Platinum Card x Olivia Rodrigo Concert

Olivia Rodrigo spaced her first two albums Sour and Guts apart by a little more than two years. When a musician hits it big and breaks out as a star, there is typically a demand for new music right away, both from fans and an artist’s record label. Rodrigo was able to prove she was no one-era wonder, and she is now a certified superstar.

It’s been nearly three years since Guts dropped, and after many hints that new music was on the way, Rodrigo recently confirmed both a release date and title for her forthcoming album. You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is set to arrive in mid-June, and lead single “Drop Dead” is scheduled to be released this coming Friday (April 17).

All the excitement around the upcoming musical chapter in the Grammy winner’s career helps two of her full-lengths become bestsellers again and allows Rodrigo to double up on one tally in the United Kingdom.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Reenters the U.K. Sales Chart

GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 29: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Olivia Rodrigo performs in the headline slot on the Pyramid Stage at the end of day five of Glastonbury festival 2025 at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 29, 2025 in Glastonbury, England. Established by Michael Eavis in 1970, Glastonbury has grown into the UK's largest music festival, drawing over 200,000 fans to enjoy performances across more than 100 stages. In 2026, the festival will take a fallow year, a planned pause to allow the Worthy Farm site time to rest and recover. (Photo by Leon Neal/Getty Images)

Both Sour and Guts appear on four rankings in the U.K. – the same four in fact – but only one of those titles mounts a comeback, and on just a single list. Sour, which introduced Rodrigo to the masses nearly half a decade ago, reenters the Official Albums Sales tally at No. 51. At the same time, the project rises dramatically from where it sat just a few days ago on three additional lists. Sour bolts from No. 100 to No. 43 on the Official Physical Albums chart and easily settles inside the top 40 on both the Official Albums Streaming (No. 20) and Official Albums (No. 22) rundowns.

Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) Returns

Rodrigo has only delivered two studio LPs during her time in the spotlight, but she has shared several other recorded projects, including EPs, compilations, soundtracks, and one live set. Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) surges back onto a single roster across the Atlantic this week. The full-length, which was recorded during Rodrigo’s headlining spot at the Glastonbury music festival, reenters the Official Physical Albums register at No. 94. As of this period, Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) has lived on the list of the bestselling titles on any physical format for 10 weeks.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts Climbs Back Into the Top 40

Guts is also on the rise, though unlike its predecessor Sour, it does not need to return to any of the four rankings on which it appears, only climb. This frame, Guts returns to the top 40 on the Official Albums (No. 21), Official Physical Albums (No. 35), and Official Albums Sales (No. 39) charts. Guts nearly fell off of the latter two last frame as it sat in the lowest reaches, but is now once again a top 40 bestseller. Rodrigo’s sophomore full-length sits highest on the Official Albums Streaming tally this frame, as the fan favorite rockets from No. 36 to No. 19.

“Vampire” and “Friday I’m In Love” Chart Together

Two songs by Rodrigo appear on just one chart apiece in the U.K. this frame, as the singer-songwriter doubles her wins on the same roster. “Vampire” pushes from No. 42 to No. 33 on the Official Physical Singles register, while “Friday I’m in Love,” a cover of the classic by the band The Cure – which also officially credits the group’s frontman Robert Smith – reenters the at No. 78.
