The past several weeks have been huge for Michael Jackson's music on charts all around the world. The late superstar can always be found on multiple rankings, especially in countries like the United States and the United Kingdom, but recently his catalog has surged in streams and sales, thanks to the release of his highly anticipated biopic musical Michael. The film, already one of the highest-grossing of 2026 globally, continues to bring in millions at the box office, and its popularity has helped Jackson score many new hits, bestselling albums, and its popularity has pushed several of his most popular titles – both full-lengths and tunes – to new high points.

That is the case again this week in the U.K., but it's not the only exciting thing happening to a Jackson release. One of his top-performing albums reaches a notable milestone, one that many artists would be lucky to see once in their career, but which the King of Pop has hit with multiple projects.

Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Charts for Two Years

Jackson's Dangerous is on the rise on the Official Albums chart, which lists the most-consumed releases of any style throughout the U.K. Both sales and streams are included in its methodology, and this time around, Dangerous improves from No. 80 to No. 74. As of this period, the set has spent 104 weeks, exactly two years, on the most competitive albums roster in the U.K.

Michael Jackson’s Longest-Charting Albums

Of the 37 collections by Jackson that have reached the Official Albums chart – a sum that does not include many Jackson 5 releases – half a dozen have reached 104 weeks on the list. The most recent to do so was Bad, which is up to 190 stays on the ranking. One of his most successful compilations, Number Ones, is easily the singer-songwriter's sturdiest project, as it is nearing 600 frames as one of the 100 most-consumed albums in the country.

Here are all of Jackson's releases that have spent two years or more on the Official Albums chart.

  • 589 weeks - Number Ones
  • 269 weeks - Thriller
  • 258 weeks - The Essential
  • 228 weeks - Off the Wall
  • 190 weeks - Bad
  • 104 weeks - Dangerous

Dangerous Climbs on Five Charts in the U.K.

Dangerous currently appears on five charts in the U.K., and it climbs on each and every one of them. The winner performs best on the Official Album Downloads ranking, where it rockets from No. 93 to No. 46. Dangerous also improves on the Official Albums Streaming (No. 72), Official Albums Sales (No. 80) and Official Physical Albums tallies (No. 88). After debuting on both the streaming and sales lists just last week, Dangerous hits new highs this time around.

Michael Jackson Claims Five Top-Performing Albums

Jackson claims an incredible five hits on the Official Albums chart this week, and three of his most impressive performers live inside the top 10. The Essential holds at No. 1 yet again. Thriller advances one space to No. 5, while Bad steps up from No. 8 to No. 6. Off the Wall gives Jackson a fourth current top 40 success as it shoots from No. 47 to No. 39.

Michael Jackson Ruled Just Once With Dangerous

Dangerous is one of Jackson's 10 No. 1s on the Official Albums chart. He debuted the release at the summit in November 1991, and it has only managed a single turn in that spot. Dangerous ran on the Official Albums ranking from 1991 until September 1993, and then it returned in 2009 following his passing. It would be more than a decade and a half before it appeared on the list again.
