It’s a fairly quiet new music Friday in America. The end of the work week is when most artists release new music, as it’s the beginning of another tracking frame. That means that whatever song or album – sometimes both – they share will have a complete seven days in which to sell and stream and potentially make it to impressive starting points on the Billboard charts.

Only a few albums by well-known musicians climb into the uppermost reaches of the iTunes Top Albums chart, the platform’s ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs. Thanks to a mix of anticipation, several popular singles, and a relative lack of competition, Ella Langley scores the hottest new arrival this period.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion Debuts at No. 1 on iTunes

Langley dominates the iTunes Top Albums chart this Friday (April 10) with Dandelion. The country superstar’s sophomore project rocketed to No. 1 the moment it became available, standing out as the hottest new release.

Ella Langley Replaces Johnny Blue Skies at No. 1

Langley replaces Johnny Blue Skies, a.k.a. Sturgill Simpson, atop the iTunes roster. His Mutiny After Midnight slips one peg to No. 2.

Just one other collection opens inside the uppermost tier on the iTunes Top Albums chart. Chess: The Musical (2025 Broadway Cast Recording) kicks off its time at No. 5. The project is credited to Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus – two of the four members of ABBA – and Tim Rice, not the show’s leading actors like Lea Michele and Aaron Tveit.

Ella Langley’s Hungover (Deluxe Edition) Also Charts

Both of Langley’s full-lengths appear on the iTunes Top Albums chart, and they’re not too far apart from one another. As Dandelion launches at No. 1, Hungover (Deluxe Edition) sits at No. 16. At the same time, her introductory Excuse the Mess EP, which made no serious commercial impact in the U.S., returns to the top 40 as it bolts to No. 39.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin' Texas” Sits at No. 2

Looking at the iTunes Top Songs tally, Langley similarly claims just one top 10 hit, though she might have scored multiple bestsellers if it wasn’t for BTS. The South Korean septet dominates the top 10 with multiple versions of “Swim,” the lead single from its comeback album Arirang.

Langley’s biggest win at the moment is, of course, “Choosin' Texas,” which has been riding high throughout 2026. “Choosin' Texas” is comfortable at No. 2, behind only “Of All People” by Foo Fighters, which enters at No. 1.

Several tracks featured on Dandelion sit just beneath the highest tier, as “Be Her,” “Loving Life Again” and “Dandelion” appear at Nos. 12, 13 and 14, respectively

Ella Langley Claims 10 Songs on iTunes Chart

Looking at the full 200-spot roster, Langley is responsible for 10 bestselling songs. One of her collaborations with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me,” holds on inside the top 40 at No. 30 – an impressive placement for a track that will soon turn two years old.

The country powerhouse also appears on the iTunes Top Songs chart with cuts “Bottom of Your Boots” (No. 53), “Broken” (No. 68), “Weren’t for the Wind” (No. 79), “Don’t Mind If I Do,” another duet with Green (No. 128), and “Hell at Night,” an unlikely team-up with hip-hop talent BigXthaPlug (No. 158).
