Dyson V10 Konical Vacuum Cleaner: New Dock Ends Messy Bin...

Dyson

Dyson has unveiled a new vacuum cleaner which does something most cleaners don’t: it’ll stop the dust and allergens from seeping back into your home as they do on regular machines when you empty them.

ForbesHere’s Why There’s No iPhone 18 This Year, New Report Claims

Automatic Dirt Disposal With The Dyson Auto-Empty Dok

The Dyson V10 Konical removes the need to empty the bin manually every time you finish cleaning by automatically transferring the dirt into a sealed bin liner which is contained within the vacuum cleaner’s dock.

So, instead of a cloud of dust floating back into the room, however carefully you empty the dust chamber, instead you place the V10 Konical into the dock, which does the rest. Dyson, by the way, calls the accessory its Auto-empty Dok, following the lead of Konical in taking a recognizable English word and changing one letter.

Not only does it empty the vacuum bin “automatically and hygienically,” as Dyson put it, it also stores the vacuum’s accessories and even charges the battery.

Advanced Dust Detection

Once the Dok has gobbled the dust and dirt from the cleaner, it stores it securely there until it’s full, and it has enough capacity, Dyson says, for around two months’ worth of dirt.

The V10 Konical features the now-signature green laser-like lighting which makes the tiniest particles much more visible as you vacuum. This capability is found on many other Dyson models, too.

Backward Compatibility And HEPA Filtration

The Auto-empty Dok will also work with an earlier Dyson, the V8 Cyclone, so users of that vacuum can add the new capabilities without replacing their machine.

The V10 Konical has a HEPA filter system which is designed to capture the fine particles in the first place, with the Dok then carrying them away before they can escape.

U.K. Pricing and Release Date

There’s no date set for U.S. availability, but the V10 Konical is currently available to by in the U.K. for £449.99 ($613) and the Auto-empty Dok is coming soon, on July 8. The V10 Konical and Auto-empty Dok will be available as a bundle for £569.99 ($777).
