The collection will be auctioned exclusively on eBay Live on Pokémon Day (Feb. 27), with each item starting at its original retail price.

A Live Auction Three Decades in the Making

Each item in The 30/30 Collection will be auctioned during a dedicated eBay Live stream on Feb. 27 beginning at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET. The auction anchors a full weekend of Pokémon programming on eBay Live, the company’s livestream shopping experience that connects collectors directly with trusted sellers in real time.

Highlights from the collection include:

• 1996 Pokémon Base Set Japanese #6 Charizard Holo PSA 10: Charizard continues to dominate the category, representing five of the top 10 highest-value trading card singles sold on eBay in 2025. This card is the first appearance of Charizard in the trading card game.

• 1998 Pokémon Red and Blue Versions Game Boy Sealed CIB Graded PSA 9.2: Searches on eBay.com for this game increased more than 130% compared to the year prior, underscoring the strength of retro gaming trends.

• 2003 Pokémon Dragon #97 Rayquaza EX Holo PSA 10: A fan-favorite Legendary from the early EX era, this is the first English appearance of Rayquaza. Combined searches for Rayquaza Dragon and Rayquaza Holo cards rose by 170% in 2025 compared to 2024.

• 2023 Pokémon x Van Gogh SVP Black Star Promo #085 Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat PSA 10: This fine art-inspired grail continues to see enduring demand on the marketplace, with eBay users searching for the card 70 times per hour in 2025. 

• Additional items from across the franchise’s 30-year history will be featured during the auction.

Pokémon Day: Online and In Person

Collectors can also celebrate Pokémon Day in person on Feb. 27 in New York City, as part of eBay Live on Tour, a series of collector-focused livestreaming events across the country. The event will take place at The Standard Biergarten (848 Washington St, New York, NY) from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

Attendees will have access to trading tables, PSA grading, interactive experiences to win prizes or discounts, TCGplayer demos, and live programming throughout the day. Pokémon-focused livestreams will continue throughout the weekend. The event concludes with the eBay Live auction of The 30/30 Collection.
