Board Election Results
05 Mar 2026 Vicky Hart · 2026-03-05 · via Open Rights Group

The votes have been counted and we’re really pleased to be sharing the results of the Board Election 2025. Thank you to all our members who took the time to vote.

From four really strong candidates, the three elected board members are:

Steven MurdochRe-elected

Melanie Dymond HarperRe-elected

Ed BridgesNewly elected

The election was conducted using the Single Transferable Vote system, with 238 member votes cast across four candidates. Two seats were filled in the first round, with the third decided by a narrow margin — Ed secured the final seat, with Stefan, our final candidate, coming very close after preferences were transferred. It was a close run election, and a reflection of how strong all four candidates were.

We’re delighted that Steven and Melanie will be bringing their experience and commitment back to the Board and will provide continuity. At the same time, we’re looking forward to welcome Ed, who we know will bring fresh ideas and new energy to the table. You can read Ed’s bio here.
