  • First innings to begin soon

Travishek will once again be looking to go all guns blazing on a pitch that is a belter on which a target anything less than 200 will not suffice. But DC’s bowlers stand in their way, who have been sensational with the ball.

Which team will go home with eight points after today’s encounter? First innings to begin shortly.

  • Potential matchups

Axar Patel has bowled only eight balls to Abhishek Sharma in T20s and has gotten him out twice, don’t be surprised if the DC captain introduces himself in the PowerPlay to tackle the explosive opening batter.

Sameer Rizvi’s record against left arm spinners in the IPL is ordinary, having scored only 47 runs off 46 balls.

SRH might be tempted to deploy Abhishek Sharma against Rizvi or perhaps even bring in Harsh Dubey to counter DC’s middle order batter.

  • Will Head make head turns in Hyderabad tonight?

SRH possesses one of the most destructive opening partnerships in the league and while Abhishek Sharma has delivered on expectations, the same cannot be said about his opening partner Travis Head.

The Australian left handed batter has only scored 143 runs from six innings at an average of 23.83 and a strike rate of 144.44, a pale shadow of his true self.

Against a DC bowling attack on song, can Head finally rediscover his form and put a smile on the passionate Hyderabad crowd? Head has a good record against DC, scoring a 32 ball 89 in 2024 to help SRH to a massive victory.

  • DC's number three problem

The overall numbers for DC’s number three batters so far this season is as follows- 5 innings, 31 runs, average- 6.20, SR- 77.50, a disastrous performance, to say the least.

DC have used three batters at the number three position and for some reason, none of their options have been able to fire. Not even the usually reliable Nitish Rana, who has now lost his place in the side after a string of failures.

The number three spot is one of the most crucial positions in any side’s batting lineup, and it’s imperative that DC finds an immediate fix to this problem.

Looking at possible options that have not been used so far on the bench, there’s Prithvi Shaw and Abhishek Porel who could potentially fit into that role, should DC decide to not persist with Karun Nair.

  • Who has picked most wickets in SRH vs DC fixture?

Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In 19 innings, the fast bowler picked 18 wickets at an average of 32.05. He bowled at an economy of 7.69 against DC.

  • Who has scored most runs in SRH vs DC fixture?

Shikhar Dhawan, who has represented both times in the tournament, has scored most runs in this fixture. In 19 innings, he has scored 575 runs an average of 31.94 and strike rate of 128.06.

  • Will Axar Patel play today?

Axar Patel retired hurt in the last match while batting. However, ahead of today’s game, coach Hemang Badani has confirmed that the captain is fully fit and available.

  • How's the weather in Hyderabad?

Rain is unlikely to play spoilsport today. Although it seemed the game will be impacted by rain earlier in the day, but current forecast makes things clear for the match to happen without interruption.

  • DC squad
