Welcome to Sportstar’s HIGHLIGHTS from the IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru being played at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.

  • RR vs RCB, IPL 2026: Match Report

RR vs RCB, IPL 2026: Rajasthan extends winning run, wins battle Royal(e) against Bengaluru

A Vaibhav Suryavanshi classic set up Rajasthan Royals’ six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an IPL 2026 match at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.

  • RR wins by 6 wickets

Jurel takes Rajasthan Royals over the line. RR needed 11 overs before the start of the 18th over and Jurel does not have much trouble getting those.

A six in the over, Shepherd fires a low full toss at the pads and Jurel puts it away with a flick shot. He ends unbeaten on 81 off 43 balls.

  • RR live score: 191/4 in 17 overs

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl out. A brief hold up in play as Jurel is down with a cramps. The physio out on the field to attend to him.

    Seven runs from the over.

  • RR live score: 184/4 in 16 overs

Romario Shepherd into the attack. A tidy over, concedes just seven runs but RR not really bothered by a lack of boundaries at this point.

It needs just 18 runs off 24 balls now.

  • RR 177/4 in 15 overs

Abhinandan Singh back to bowl his third.

FOUR! A wide yorker to Jurel, who gets down on one knee and square drives it through the right of point. A wide ball on the next delivery gets another run to RR. The home team now needs less than run-a-ball.

Edge and FOUR! Floats this wide of off and Jurel drives with hard hands, gets a thick edge but wide enough of a diving Jitesh Sharma.

A wide down the leg side to Jadeja. Two singles on the last two deliveries. 14 runs from that over.

  • RR live score: 163/4 in 14 overs

Hazlewood to bowl his final over. Appeals for leg before on the first ball as Jadeja misses his clip. RCB takes the review but the ball tracker shows it is pitching outside leg stump.

FOUR! Back of a length from Hazlewood and Jurel pulls this through square leg. A single on the next ball gets him to his half century in just 25 balls.

A productive over for RR, gets nine from this. The equation is down to just 39 runs from six overs.

  • RR live score: 154/4 in 13 overs

Krunal fires a quicker one at Jadeja, which takes an inside edge and runs past the keeper for FOUR. Krunal with a bouncer once more to Jadeja, who tries to reverse ramp this but misses.

Jadeja is nearly caught at deep square leg on the final delivery as he tries to pull a short ball.

    Nine runs from that over.

  • RR live score: 145/4 in 12 overs

Bhuvneshwar for his third over. Jurel punches the first ball to long on from inside his crease, gets a single.

Jadeja clips the fourth ball towards deep midwicket and the pair is quick enough to come back for a second run. A single on the final delivery.

Another economical over from RCB’s perspective, just four off it.

  • RR live score: 141/4 in 11 overs

Krunal bowls back-to-back bouncers to Jadeja in this over. The batter ducks under both. A quiet over otherwise with just four runs from this one.

  • Suryavanshi scores another 15-ball half century

IPL 2026 — Vaibhav Suryavanshi scores 15-ball fifty against RCB

This was the second instance of Suryavanshi scoring a 15-ball half century in the IPL, the first one coming against CSK earlier this season.

  • RR live score: 137/4 in 10 overs

Hazlewood is back. Parag takes a single off the first ball. Jurel is hit in the abdominal region. He’s down on the ground. RCB is discussing whether to take a review for lbw. They don’t.

Jurel pulls and takes a single the next delivery. OUT! Parag is gone. He picked the length delivery but doesn’t get enough power. Krunal takes a brilliant diving catch. Parag goes after scoring 3 off 5 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja in at six. Steals double off his first ball. A single to end the over.

  • RR live score: 132/3 in 9 overs

Krunal. Suryavanshi tries to go over long on and is caught in the deep! Suryavanshi falls after a stunning knock. Goes after scoring 78 off 26 balls. Brilliant knock.

Shimron Hetmyer in at four. OUT! Bouncer and Hetmyer cuts straight to short third. What a cheap dismissal. A nothing shot.

Hat-trick ball. Riyan Parag at the crease. He takes a single first ball. Jurel, too, takes a single. Loopy delivery, Parag defends.

Parag takes a single off the last ball.

  • RR live score: 129/1 in 8 overs

Tim David into the attack. Bowls a gentle off spinner and Jurel cuts him past point for four. Jurel gives the strike to Suryavanshi next ball.

Suryavanshi plays a dot, defends. Short ball and Suryavanshi smacks him over the midwicket region for a six. Another six! In the slot and Suryavanshi gets past the long on boundary.

A single to end the over.

  • RR live score: 111/1 in 7 overs

RR needs 105 runs off the next 14 overs.

Krunal Pandya into the attack. Suryavanshi takes a single off the first ball. Jurel pulls the short ball towards midwicket for four.

Follows it up with a single. Suryavanshi gives the strike back to Jurel. Another single by Jurel.

And Suryavanshi launches the ball way into the square leg stands for a six! What a way to end the over.

  • RR live score: 97/1 in 6 overs

Abhinandan Singh. Jurel begins the over with a four. Pulls it towards fine leg. Follows it up with a SIX! Picks the ball and launches it over long on.

Now Jurel slices the ball past the point fielder and gets another four! Beautiful batting. A dot ball next.

Full toss and Jurel launches the ball over fine leg region for a maximum. Huge six. They are asking for a waist-height no-ball as well but don’t review. A four to end the PowerPlay. Pulls towards midwicket, Jurel.

  • RR live score: 73/1 in 5 overs

Bhuvneshwar is back. Jurel takes a single off the first ball. Length delivery to Suryavanshi and he launches the ball over long on for a maximum!! Brilliant.

SIX! Another one. Bouncer, Suryavanshi pulls and JUST over the deep fine leg fielder, who does manage to catch but over the ropes. That’s his fifty off just 15 balls.

Plays a couple of dot balls, Suryavanshi. Suryavanshi finishes the over with an upper cut for four.

  • RR live score: 56/1 in 4 overs

Hazlewood for his second. Jurel wants to steal a single but is sent back by Suryavanshi. Now he gets a single tapping the ball towards gully.

Hazlewood vs Suryavanshi now. Four! Suryavanshi late cuts him very close to the body and it runs away towards the fence. What a stunning shot.

FOUR! Now he picks the good length delivery over mid on for another four! Third consecutive boundary for Suryavanshi. Now he cracks a cover drive. Brilliant shot.

SIXX! He finishes the over with a pull over midwicket. This is such a stunning display of batting.

  • RR live score: 37/1 in 3 overs

Abhinandan Singh into the attack. An lbw appeal off the first ball against Suryavanshi but it’s going down the leg. Four! Suryavanshi clears leg and whacks the ball straight past the bowler for four.

Suryavanshi once again slogs, gets an inside edge and ball goes past the keeper for another four. Now a single off the next ball.

Dhruv Jurel takes a single off his first ball. SIX! What a beautiful hit by Suryavanshi. On the pads and he picks the ball over the midwicket. Brilliant wrists.

  • RR live score: 21/1 in 2 overs

Josh Hazlewood into the attack. Jaiswal plays a lofted drive and it goes over the deep point fence for a six! Good power by Jaiswal. Defends the next ball.

Now Jaiswal tries to cut a ball closer to his body and is beaten. Another dot ball. Hazlewood right on the money.

Short ball and Jaiswal pulls him way into the stands at the midwicket region. Brilliant strike that. OUT! Jaiswal is gone. Another attempt to cut a ball close to the body and Jaiswal gets an edge straight to the keeper. Hazlewood strikes on his return.

  • RR live score: 9/0 in 1 over

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal open the innings. Suryavanshi is the impact sub for RR. replacing Sandeep Sharma. Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the new ball.

First ball moves away from Jaiswal, who cuts and looks for a quick single but is sent back by Suryavanshi. This time he cuts in the gap and gets a single towards deep third.

Inswinger to Suryavanshi, full - almost a yorker - and the left-hander whips the ball past the bowler for four! Short ball, Suryavanshi tries to pull but doesn’t quite time it. A dot.

Bouncer, Suryavanshi goes for an upper cut but misses. Outside off width on offer, Suryavanshi slashes over point and finds the fence.

  • Rajasthan Royals needs 202 runs to win

RCB has pulled itself to a par-score here. Two hundred plus was hardly looking the case when RCB was down to 74 for five and then 94 for six. But Rajat Patidar held one end and delivered timely boundaries to keep the scorecard ticking. He had support from Romario Shepherd through the second half of the innings before Venkatesh Iyer got RCB much-needed hits at the death.

  • RCB 201/8 in 20 overs

Sandeep to finish the innings. FOUR! Venkatesh with a reverse sweep off the first ball, gets it fine enough to pick a boundary. SIX now! Picks the length ball and dispatches this through the on side with a slog.

Sandeep follows up with a wide yorker, Venkatesh tries to sweep this square on the on-side but misses. A slower bouncer wide of off, Venkatesh cuts this above his head through covers, gets two runs by the time the sweeper gets to this.

Wide on the off side and Sandeep will have to bowl that again. Another one outside off, Venkatesh drags this from there towards the on side, gets another two.

SIX to end the innings. 21 runs off that over. Venkatesh picks this over long off and gets to 29 off just 15.

  • RCB live score: 180/8 in 19 overs

Nine runs from this over. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picks a FOUR with a loft over covers. He makes room to this full ball and launches the ball aerially. Venkatesh batting on a run-a-ball nine.

  • RCB live score: 171/8 in 18 overs

GONE! Patidar’s show comes to an end. Sandeep Sharma gets the wicket. He tries to pull this length ball but holes out in the deep. It is the change in pace that foxes the RCB captain.

    Rajat Patidar c Ferreira b Sandeep 63(40)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the new batter.

Just five runs off the over.

  • RCB 166/7 in 17 overs

Bishnoi for his final over. Back-to-back SIXES for Patidar. The first is off a fuller ball and lofted into the sightscreen. Bishnoi pulls the length back on the next, and Patidar uses the crease to whack this over deep midwicket.

    16 runs off that over.

  • RCB live score: 150/7 in 16 overs

Sandeep Sharma to bowl the next over. Four more for Patidar! He drives the second ball through covers and a misfield at deep cover gets him a boundary.

FOUR more and Patidar gets his half century. Off 35 balls and at a time when RCB needed it dearly.

  • RCB live score: 139/7 in 15 overs

Burger back for his third over. SIX! A slot ball to Patidar and heaves it over long off. SIX more! SIX more! A half tracker and Patidar pulls this through square leg, he generates the power with a whip of the wrists though.

  • RCB live score: 125/7 in 14 overs

Jadeja back into the attack. Shepherd sweeps the first ball behind square, two runs off that ball. Shepherd pushes the second ball to mid off and runs one.

Patidar goes to his back foot and punches to deep midwicket, gets another single. Shepherd punches the fourth to long off for one run.

Patidar attempts a massive slog on the fifth, gets it off the toe end and its squirts through square leg for one.

OUT! Shepherd gets it off a leading edge on an attempted on-sided heave, is caught at short fine leg.

    Romario Shepherd c Brijesh b Jadeja 22(11)

  • RCB 119/6 in 13 overs

Brijesh for his third over. A bouncer to Shepherd, pulls to fine leg for one. A length ball to follow and Patidar flat-bats this down the ground for FOUR.

The third is a full delivery driven to long off. FOUR more! A wide delivery and Shepherd cuts this deftly between point and short third.

FOUR! Poor bowling this. A length ball going down leg and Shepherd just has to get a touch on it, beats short fine leg. A single to deep covers to end the over. 15 runs off the over.

  • RCB live score: 104/6 in 12 overs

Romario Shepherd off the mark with a SIX! Too full from Bishnoi and Shepherd takes a long stride forward to clear long off boundary.

Four singles make it 10 runs off the over.

  • RCB live score: 94/6 in 11 overs

Brijesh to continue. Patidar with a cut to deep point for one run on the first ball. David picks another single to long on on the second ball.

WICKET! A rank long hop from Brijesh and David holes out to long on.

    Tim David c Hetmyer b Brijesh 13(9)

Just five singles and a wicket from that over.

  • RCB live score: 89/5 in 10 overs

Archer is back. Patidar takes a single off the first ball. David gives the strike back to his captain next ball. Another single by Patidar now.

Bouncer and David doesn’t seem to have pick that delivery; a dot. Bouncer again, this time David pulls for four. Didn’t it well but it was good enough to find the fence.

A dot to end the over.

  • RCB live score: 82/5 in 9 overs

Brijesh Sharma into the attack. Patidar drives towards deep covers and takes a single. Jitesh slashes and gets a single towards deep third.

Another single, for Patidar this time. OUT! Jitesh is struck in front and is given out. He discusses and decides not to take the review. He falls for 5 off 8 balls.

Tim David is the new man in. Full toss, David drives towards deep covers and takes a double. Four! On the pads, full and David guides the ball away towards fine leg region.

  • RCB live score: 73/4 in 8 overs

Ravindra Jadeja into the attack. Jitesh takes a single off the first ball. What a beautiful hit by Patidar. Inside out over cover and the ball falls just short of the fence. A four, nevertheless.

Patidar takes a single next ball. Jitesh defends.

Jitesh gives the strike to Patidar for the last ball. Patidar will keep the strike for the next over.

  • RCB live score: 65/4 in 7 overs

Bishnoi continues. Patidar takes a single off the first ball towards long on.

OUT! Pandya is gone as well! Comes down the track and lofts it straight to Hetmyer, who dives in front to complete the catch. He goes for 1 off 6 balls.

Jitesh Sharma defends his first ball. He’s off the mark next ball with a single. Patidar works the ball towards long off for another single.

A single to end the over.

  • RCB live score: 61/3 in 6 overs

Burger is back. Patidar takes a single off the first ball. Pandya drives straight to point fielder, a dot.

Now Pandya tries to upper cut a bouncer but misses it. Squared up! Burger with a late swinger beats Pandya’s outside edge. Pandya takes a single next ball.

Just three runs to end the PowerPlay.

  • RCB live score: 58/3 in 5 overs

Ravi Bishnoi into the attack. Patidar goes for a slog sweep, misses and a huge appeal follows. Patidar, however, steals a quick single. A desperate dive saved him from getting run out.

Kohli flicks and takes a single. Patidar picks the ball towards long on and takes a single.

OUT! Kohli is gone. Tries to go for a slog, misses the quicker one and is cleaned up. Was playing well. He has to go after scoring 32 off 16 balls.

Krunal Pandya is the new man in. Defends the first ball.

  • RCB live score: 55/2 in 4 overs

Sandeep Sharma into the attack. Kohli takes a single off the first ball. Rajat Patidar, the new man in, at the strike now. He defends the first ball.

Another dot. Patidar drives the ball towards short midwicket fielder. Takes a single towards long on off the next delivery.

FOUR! Lofted cover drive by Kohli. A typical Kohli shot that. Follows it up with a classical cover drive past the fielder inside the ring for another four.

  • RCB live score: 45/2 in 3 overs

Archer continues. Kohli guides the ball past the backward point and it goes for four. Pure timing by Kohli. Defends the second delivery on the up. Solid.

Moves away, Kohli, and Archer bowls him on the ribs. Kohli pulls it away for four towards fine leg. Another four! This time a late cut by Kohli. Brilliant batting.

Kohli takes a quick single off the hands of cover fielder.

OUT! Padikkal is gone. Hard length, Padikkal picked it up but couldn’t get enough power in the shot. Hetmyer does well to run from the deep square leg region and take a diving catch. Second wicket for Archer. Padikkal goes for 14 off 7 balls.

  • RCB live score: 32/1 in 2 overs

Nandre Burger. Padikkal cuts past point for four to get the over underway. Lovely timing there. Now he pulls the ball in front of midwicket and gets a single.

Kohli is beaten off the outside edge on that occasion. Four! Kohli picks the ball towards square leg. Great timing.

Now a wide down the leg and Jurel can’t reach that either. Five wides. Burger cuts Kohli in half and Jurel once again fails to grab the late movement of the ball and is goes for four byes.

Kohli takes a quick single to end the over.

  • RCB live score: 13/1 in 1 over

Virat Kohli and Phil Salt have come out to open the innings. Jofra Archer to take the new ball.

OUT! A wicket off the first ball of the match. A bouncer and Salt, looking to tuck it away, can’t keep the ball down. Ball goes high in the air and Jurel takes an easy catch.

Devdutt Padikkal at three. Archer squares him up first ball and beats him.

Four! A genuine outside edge and the ball goes just past the second slip and runs towards the fence. Short ball and Padikkal beautifully cuts it way over the point fielder to get another four.

Now Padikkal just guides the ball towards deep fine leg to get Virat Kohli on strike.

Another four! A genuine edge again but ball goes wide of the diving Jurel for four. BGT memories for Kohli! Terrific over by Archer.
