    Slower short ball this time, Rabada is too early into his pull. Dot ball. A mistimed pull shot off the last ball, he will get a single to midwicket.

    Ashok Sharma in at 10. Bumrah back into the attack. 

    Starts with a short ball, Rabada fends at it and lobs it back close to the bowler. Picks up a single to deep fine leg off the next ball. 

    Slower yorker to Ashok, he fends it away. He gets off the mark with a single. Rabada returns the strike with a push to square leg.

    Ashwani to Rashid, back of a length from over the wicket, defended back. WICKET!! Rashid looks to make room and loft one over cover, can’t clear the fielder in the ring.

    Rashid steps down and slaps the ball down to long on for a single.

    Ashwani with his second over. Four!! Tewatia sweeps the first ball through the vacant midwicket region for a boundary.

    Length on offstump, Tewatia has to adjust after the ball keeps a touch low. Outside edge as Tewatia looks to punch off the backfoot, only a single to deep third man. 

    Short slower ball, called a wide. Yorker from over the wicket to Shahrukh, clipped to square leg for one.

    Tewatia takes a single. Shahrukh tries to go straight but is stopped by Santner. Shahrukh drills it to the offside for a double, Pandya at covers just manages to get a hand on that to slow it down.

    Full toss from Santner, Shahrukh easily puts it past covers for a FOUR!

    Ghazanfar with his second, Shahrukh defends, dot ball. Shahrukh defends again, another dot ball. Ghazanfar with a faster delivery, Shahrukh hits it straight to mid wicket, three dot balls on the trot.

    Shahrukh taps it to long on for a single. Oooh googly turns back in sharply, Tewatia takes a quick single on the off side.

    Shahrukh mistimes that but the shot has enough power to sail over long off for SIX!

    Santner into the attack. Flights the first ball nicely, Phillips punches it off his back foot to long on for a single.

    Rahul Tewatia comes in at 6 for GT. The home side needs a big partnership to stay in this chase, one more wicket and its curtains. Tewatia guides it off his pads on the leg side for a single, gets off the mark.

    Caught and bowled! Phillips hits it straight back into the hands of Santner! GT are crumbling here! WICKET!

    Shahrukh Khan is in at seven for GT. Slip in place. Shahrukh taps it on the off side for a single. Slows that down nicely, brilliant over from Santner, three runs and two wickets.

    Ghazanfar into the attack. Washington cuts it on the off side for two runs. Ooooh carrom ball and that beats Washington and just misses the stumps. 

    Washington hits it to short cover, dot ball. Another carrom ball and very lucky from Washington to get an inside edge on that, ball passes the stumps and races to the boundary! FOUR RUNS!

    Washington chips that to long off for a single, third straight ball that Washington has failed to pick the bowler. This is the first time ever that Gill, Sudharsan and Buttler has been dismissed in the PowerPlay. Phillips takes a single down the ground.

    Oooh that hits the inside half of his bat, Gill takes two runs.

    Hardik Pandya into the attack. Buttler with a glorious cover drive for a BOUNDARY! Hardik gets Buttler next ball! LBW! GT reviews but the decision stays! GT TWO DOWN!

    Too much swing on that one, wide outside off stump given. Washington drives it straight down the ground for FOUR! Slightly uppish plays it with the straight bat and the ball races away to the boundary!

    Wide down leg side, Hardik will have to bowl that again. Short and wide from Hardik, Washington easily puts that away for FOUR! Wicket of bowler but 18 from that over.

  • What a finish!!

    A first IPL hundred for Tilak Varma! What a way to arrest your run of low scores. Took his time in the beginning, playing at just over run-a-ball. 

    GT went awry with its plans at the death, conceding 96 in the last six overs. Ashok Sharma, Prasidh and Rashid all went for plenty in their final over. Some work to do for GT to chase this down.

    Prasidh with the final over. 

    Four!! Full outside off, outside edge as Tilak looked for an uppish drive, beats deep third man to the fence. 

    SIX!! Short ball, Tilak pulls it handsomely and beats square leg on the fence. Into the 90s. 

    Nails the yorker on the third ball, Tilak drives it to long on for one. Low full toss to Rutherford, driven to point for one. 

    SIX!! Full toss to Tilak, who was waiting to play the ramp, just laps it into the crowd over fine leg. 

    Four!! Slower short ball, Tilak times the pull perfectly, finds the gap through square leg. Hundred for Tilak Varma!!

  • MI Live Score: 177/5 in 19 overs

    Siraj with the penultimate over. Four!! Short outside off with mid off in the ring, Hardik flat bats it over the fielder for four. 

    Yorker, angled in, Hardik picks up a single. Gill wants a review on the lbw. Clear spike on UltraEdge. 

    Four!! Attempted yorker, Tilak thumps it down the ground and beats long on. In the blockhole, Tilak picks up a single to long on. 

    WICKET!! Low full toss, Hardik looked to flick it over midwicket. The bottom hand comes into play but he finds midwicket at the fence.

    MI opener Rohit Sharma missed the last game against PBKS after he suffered a hamstring injury against RCB, forcing him to cut short his stay at the crease and get retired hurt.

    Although Rohit batted in the nets in Ahmedabad on the eve of the match, a decision on his participation is likely to be left till the last minute. 

    MI bowling coach Paras Mhambrey declared that Rohit was fit ahead of the game against GT, but whether that means Rohit will be pushed into the starting XI or MI will take it easy with his recovery remains to be seen.
