Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru was named the Player of the Match in IPL 2026 Final against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Kohli struck an unbeaten 75 runs off 42 balls to get RCB over the line in the chase of 156 runs. He ended the season with 675 runs from 16 innings.
“It is stuff that you dream of. I have thought of this many times, hitting the winning runs in an IPL final. We were relaxed coming into the game. The kind of team have, we knew what we needed to do,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation.
On the massive support for RCB across venues, Kohli said: “I always say we have 14 home games. The fans are always getting behind us. That is what we have built over the years, their support is priceless. I hope they enjoy our win.”
