Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 101 off 54 balls before Akeal Hosein picked four for 17 to take Chennai Super Kings to a commanding 103-run win over Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Samson ensured that his second hundred this season got CSK to 207 for six, a total that would prove more than enough for the visitor.
Hosein jolted the Indians early with two wickets. Noor Ahmed picked another two after the PowerPlay to end the home side’s hopes of getting close to the target.
