Anant Ambani, the Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited, has announced donations to religious trusts, educational and healthcare institutions, and social welfare organisations in Gujarat ahead of his 31st birthday on April 10.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of the Ambani family, is celebrating his birthday on April 10 with philanthropic initiatives at major religious places in Gujarat, including Dwarka, Somnath, Ambaji, and Salangpur, a company release said.

In Dwarka, a multi-storey Yatri Bhavan (pilgrim guesthouse) will be constructed to facilitate visitors. Additionally, escalators will be installed at the Dwarka Shardapeeth to alleviate difficulties for senior citizens and differently-abled devotees, it added.

A floor with 17 rooms will be built at the upcoming Yatri Bhavan in the pilgrimage town of Ambaji by the donation money of his company for pilgrims, it said, adding that Ambani has also committed a year-long bhojan prasad seva at Ambaji Temple, which will offer food to around 26 lakh devotees.

Similarly, a year-long morning and evening bhojan prasad seva has also been planned at India's first Jyotirling in Somnath Temple, which will benefit 26 lakh pilgrims.

A gaushala (cow shelter) will be built at Shri Kashtabhanjandev Hanumanji Temple in Salangpur, as well as Setalus, Jamnagar district.

Educational infrastructure upgrades, establishment of gaushalas (cow shelters), distribution of sweets to Reliance contract workers, community feasts, saree distribution in villages surrounding the Jamnagar refinery, and the provision of essential infrastructure in rural areas have also been planned, it added.

Ambani has planned several other healthcare initiatives, infrastructure improvements for educational institutes, and community dinners in Gujarat.
