Outstanding achievements in project management, innovation, sustainability and organisational transformation were recognised at the 16th edition of PMI Kerala Awards held as part of the CXO Meet and PMI Kerala Awards Night 2026, organised by the Kerala Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) in Kochi.

In the Project of the Year (Large) category, BPCL emerged as the winner, while Cochin Shipyard and Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) were adjudged runners up. UST won the Project of the Year (Medium) award, with H&R Block securing the runner up position. H&R Block also won the Project of the Year (Small) category.

Aries received the Sustainability Project of the Year Award, while Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society ( ULCCS) was honoured with the Social Project of the Year Award. H&R Block won the AI Excellence Award for the Services Industry for successfully leveraging artificial intelligence to create business value. FACT secured the Innovative Manufacturing Project Award, while K-DISC won the Green Infrastructure Project Award in the construction industry category.

Akhila Gowri Shankar, President of PMI Kerala Chapter, said the quality and diversity of nominations reflected the increasing maturity of project management practices across sectors. She observed organisations are constantly leveraging structured project delivery frameworks to drive innovation, sustainability and long term value creation.

Prior to the awards ceremony, the PMI Kerala held the fourth edition of CXO Meet 2026, which brought together more than 50 senior leaders, including CEOs, Managing Directors, Directors, Centre Heads, Presidents, CTOs and entrepreneurs from leading organisations such as TCS, H&R Block, UST, ULTS, BPCL, Cochin Shipyard, KMRL, K-DISC, ICT Academy, FACT, HLL Lifecare, Citrus Informatics, Skyline Builders, Wipro and HealthProof.

The CXO Meet focused on the theme “AI Driven Transformation” and explored how organisations can align artificial intelligence initiatives with strategic business objectives and measurable outcomes.

The event featured a thought leadership session by Tathagath Varma, Founder of Cognitive Chasm, on “Succeeding with AI Transformation”, where he shared practical frameworks and industry insights on enabling organisations to derive tangible value from AI adoption.
