Zee Entertainment Enterprises will dedicate 15 per cent of its football-related OTT subscription revenues towards building football in India following its partnership with FIFA.

After bagging multiple broadcasting rights for various FIFA properties including the ongoing 2026 World Cup, Zee said it will work with the football federation to boost talent discovery and development, building league ecosystems and enabling resources for players as well as coaches in India.

“15 per cent of Zee 5’s football-related subscription revenues will be contributed towards building football in India. The Company’s partnership with FIFA until 2034, reflects its commitment to elevate the development of football as a sport,” said Zee in a press release.

Conducive Ecosystem

Zee will help in terms of structured training initiatives and create scalable league formats at the city, district, state and national level. To further support the development initiatives, Zee will on-board renowned football personalities as domain experts to help build a conducive ecosystem in India. It will also collaborate with other key sporting federations globally and other key national and state-level associations to define action-oriented steps for talent identification and training.

Speaking about this decision, Punit Goenka, Chief Executive Officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises said, “Through this initiative, we are enabling our football viewers to invest in the dreams of countless young Indians who aspire to play the beautiful game at a global stage. Our efforts aim to blend passion with opportunity and translate engagement into impact.”
