Two-time Olympic medallist P.V. Sindhu praised Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan for initiating the construction of ‘magic drains’ in the villages, calling it one of the many transformative programmes undertaken by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department under his guidance.
In a video message on Sunday (May 3, 2026), Ms. Sindhu said that the magic drains, which were integrated with soak pits, have put an end to the scourge of overflowing drains and the stench emanating from them. She expressed hope that Mr. Kalyan would continue to transform the rural landscape with his ideas and commitments.
