The 63rd annual flower show in Bryant Park in Kodaikanal was inaugurated by Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan. The flower show will be held from May 20 to 31. Over 6,00,000 flowers are on display at the event which attracts thousands of tourists from far and near.
The highlight of the inaugural day was the floral arrangements showcasing Tamil Nadu’s rich tradition, culture, and natural beauty. These included Pamban bridge, Jallikattu, and Brihadeeswarar temple.
Vegetable carvings highlighting the specialties of Dindigul district were also on display. These included Slender Loris, Chinnalapatti Sungudi saris, Nilakottai Jasmine flowers, and Dindigul Biryani. Tourists, particularly children, were captivated by a butterfly-themed entrance arch.

Apart from this, 10,000 flower pots featuring various varieties of flowers will be on display, and arrangements have been made for innovative decorations at the flower show.
A 24-hour control room has been established for the welfare and the convenience of tourists. People can contact the control room via the toll-free number 18004250150 to obtain information or assistance.
Arrangements have been made for free entry of the persons with disabilities and their attendants. Basic amenities such as drinking water facilities, restroom facilities, and adequate parking areas have been provided for the convenience of the tourists.
District Collector Saravanan instructed the officials to address the needs of the tourists. Following the inauguration of the event, he also visited the various pavilions set up by different government departments.
Dindigul District Administration and the departments of Horticulture, and Tourism have urged the people to visit Bryant Park and enjoy the flower show.
