Natco Pharma Q4 net slips 34% to ₹269 cr. on formulation ...
N. Ravi Kumar · 2026-05-29 · via The Hindu: Latest News today from India and the World, Breaking news, Top Headlines and Trending News Videos.

Natco Pharma reported consolidated net profit for the March quarter declined nearly 34% to ₹269 crore compared with the ₹406 crore a year earlier on the back of a sharp fall in revenue from formulations export.

Net revenue declined more than 36% to ₹816.9 crore (₹1,287.3 crore). Shares of the generic drugmaker on Friday closed 13.51% lower on the BSE at ₹1,016.75 apiece.

Barring formulations export which dropped to ₹539.6 crore (₹1,052.5 crore), the contribution of other segments -- active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), domestic formulations, crop health sciences as well as other operating and non-operating income -- was higher yoy.

For FY26, the company’s net profit declined almost 25% to ₹1,418.5 crore (₹1,883.4 crore) on a total revenue of ₹4,375.9 crore (₹4,784 crore). Besides formulations export, other operating and non-operating revenue segment revenue was also lower during the fiscal.

Net profit for the quarter and financial year includes one-time benefit of ₹115 crore as the company has elected to move to the new tax regime from 2026-27 and has re-measured its deferred tax assets on MAT credit and other deferred tax assets/liabilities.

During the quarter and the fiscal, an impairment loss of ₹50 crore was recognised on the property, plant and equipment of agro chemical segment, Natco Pharma said.
