Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna underscored the importance of youth getting trained in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) to access a wide range of employment opportunities.
The MP, along with Telangana IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu, inaugurated the TASK-AVGC and AI Centre and TASK-CtriLS Talent Centre in Manthani on Wednesday. He said the facilities will serve as a platform for rural students to learn world-class technology. Through the talent centre, jointly established by cand CtrlS Datacenters, training tailored to the needs of the industry will be provided. The objective is to bring rural youth closer to the digital world, he said.
Thanking Mr.Sridhar Babu for setting up the facilities in Manthani, Mr.Vamsi Krishna urged the youth and students to make extensive use of the same. With the AI centre, the rural youth need not travel to distant places like Hyderabad and Bengaluru for AI courses. Now such opportunities are available in Manthani itself, a release from the MP’s office quoted him as saying.
Garment unit
The MP, along with the Minister, also laid the foundation stone for a garment unit to be established at a cost of ₹7.30 crore at Gangapuri. The garment unit will provide wide employment opportunities for local women and youth, he said, adding the government’s emphasis was on creating employment opportunities in rural areas.
Mr.Vamsi Krishna and Mr.Sridhar Babu sought to highlight how the unit will contribute to the economic development of the surrounding areas, especially increasing women’s self-employment.
