An inquiry has been initiated against a police constable caught on camera assaulting a worker near a restaurant in Tolichowki, after the video sparked public criticism on social media.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 21, involved constable Gyaneshwar, attached to the Tolichowki police station. According to the police, a Blue Colts patrol team had noticed a group of men loitering near the hotel around 4 a.m. and stopped to question them.
