House sites were awarded to Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation sanitation workers and students who recovered from heart and kidney ailments in Coimbatore district, said C.K. Kannan, managing director of Winners India Group, on Saturday.

Addressing the media, he said the group, along with R. Krishnasamy Gounder Memorial Trust, registered these house sites free of cost in the names of the beneficiaries. House sites were also provided to participants linked to jallikattu and rekla races. Many beneficiaries have built houses on these plots, he said.
