Commissioner of Police, Tambaram City, Sanjay Kumar on Monday inspected the strong rooms and counting centre at MIT, Chromepet. During his visit, he reviewed the deployment of police personnel across all security layers, verified CCTV surveillance systems, and directed officers to maintain strict vigilance and adhere to Election Commission protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of the electronic voting machines (EVMs).
Following the completion of polling on April 23, all electronic voting machines (EVMs), voter verifiable paper audit trails (VVPATs), and related materials were transported under armed escort to designated counting centres.
