Action has been initiated to remove long-pending police custody, accident, and scrap vehicles that have been lying in front of police stations across Thiruvananthapuram following an intervention by the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), according a press release from the chamber on Wednesday. The TCCI had earlier this year submitted a representation to the State government highlighting the issue.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police had subsequently informed the chamber that the matter had been taken up and that necessary steps were being initiated to clear such vehicles. A further reply has now been received from the police authorities confirming that the issue has been examined at the field level and that follow-up action is in progress.
