A three-year-old girl child died after falling into a ground-level water tank in her house at Kulithalai in the district on Thursday. The police gave the name of the victim as M. Haranika Sri. The girl was playing in front of her house when she fell into the water tank and died. The child’s parents found their daughter missing and subsequently peeped into the water tank and found her dead. The body was taken to the Government Hospital, Kulithalai. The Kulithalai police are investigating, said police sources.
