P. Nisha, 24, of Usilampatti in Madurai was cheated of ₹7 lakh after being lured of higher returns on investing in stock trading in March.
Police said she came across a message on a social media messaging platform. After chatting online, she was made to create a wallet account and was given different tasks. Later, she was asked to invest money by transferring it from her bank accounts to various bank accounts between March 6 and 9.
