Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Vibhu Bakhru will visit Mangaluru soon to review the infrastructure facilities available for taking a decision on setting up a circuit bench of the High Court in the city, said Convenor of High Bench Horata Samiti and MLC Ivan D’Souza in Mangaluru on Saturday.

Talking to reporters in Mangaluru, Mr. D’Souza claimed that during a recent meeting the Samiti members had with Justice Bakhru, he favoured setting up of the circuit bench in Mangaluru covering its jurisdiction over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts. Setting up of the circuit bench will lead to formation of permanent bench of the High Court later.
