The five-day ‘Maha Kumbhabhishekam’ (consecration ceremony) concluded on Thursday at the ancient Sri Parasurameswara Swamy temple in Gudimallam village, located 20 km from Tirupati.
The temple, dating back to the 2nd Century B.C. and considered one of the oldest Shiva temples in the country, has been under the control of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) and had not seen any religious activities being perfromed for decades.
