While the DMK bagged 4 of the 5 constituencies of this district - Alangulam, Tenkasi, Kadayanallur and Vasudevanallur (SC) segments - the AIADMK won Sankarankovil (SC) constituency, a traditional bastion of Edappadi K. Palaniswami-led party.
