Member of Legislative Council S.L. Bhoje Gowda on Thursday criticised the Opposition parties for attempting to stall the women’s reservation Bill in Parliament and said that such attempts to obstruct the Bill for political gain were condemnable.
Speaking at a meeting organised by the Dakshina Kannada District unit of Janata Dal (Secular) in protest against the Opposition’s move to stall the Bill, Mr. Gowda said, “This is not an ordinary political issue, it is a fight for the rights of half of the country’s population.“
