In a shift from conventional training programmes, the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APTransco) has opened its doors to top-tier technical talent by inviting students from IITs and other premier institutions to work on live power sector challenges.

Named the Summer Internship Programme - 2026, the initiative is being positioned as a problem-solving platform embedded within the State’s grid operations. The interns will be assigned clearly defined challenges, work under senior utility mentors and deliver ready solutions, ranging from AI models to engineering frameworks, according to an official release.
