The high-level committee of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) headed by Kader Mohideen is discussing the political developments and is expected to announce its stand on its support to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam headed by actor C. Joseph Vijay.

“We will announce our decision after the meeting,” a leader said. The party had earlier announced it would not extended support to any formation.
Two Left parties have extended unconditional support to the TVK on Friday (May 8, 2026). The party now has the support of nine more MLAs from the Congress (five), CPI (two) and CPI(M) (two). During the recently conducted Assembly election in the State, TVK won 108 seats leading to fractured mandate.
