Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Thummalapenta village of Kavali mandal in SPSR Nellore district on Tuesday (May 19, 2026) to take part in ‘Matsyakarula Sevalo’ programme. In the second phase of this scheme, the government will provide financial aid of ₹20,000 to each fishing family across the State during the fishing ban period.

From the past two days, District Collector Himanshu Shukla and Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajitha Vejendla, along with local MLA Dagumati (Kavya) Venkata Krishna Reddy, inspected the helipad area, houses of the fishing families with whom the Chief Minister will be interacting, and the venues for public and party cadre meetings. They reviewed the final arrangements and gave suggestions to the officials.

“The Chief Minister will participate in ‘Matsyakarula Sevalo’ programme and financial assistance will be deposited into the bank accounts of the fishermen,” the Collector said, urging the officials of the respective departments to carry out their duties effectively and to work in coordination.

Minister for Minority Welfare, Law and Justice and district in-charge Minister N. Md. Farooq, along with local ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Ponguru Narayana, will also attend the programme. “After the programme, the Chief Minister will attend the TDP cadre meeting here and go to Chittoor district,” Mr. Shukla informed.
