Puducherry Chief Electoral Officer P. Jawahar on Saturday (May 4, 2026) said elaborate arrangements are in place for the counting of votes polled in the April 9 Assembly elections.

Counting of votes is scheduled for May 4 in all four regions of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam under strict security and regulatory protocols.
