Due to track renewal works in the Uthukuli railway yard on the Erode–Tiruppur section, the following changes are made in train services on select days.

A release from the Salem Railway Division said Train No. 16843 Tiruchi Junction–Palakkad Town Express, scheduled to depart Tiruchi at 1 p.m., will be short-terminated at Ingur railway station, near Erode, on May 8 and 10. After completion of the works, the service will operate as an unreserved special train from Ingur to Palakkad Town, halting at the regular stops of the express.

Similarly, Train No. 16321 Nagercoil–Coimbatore Express, scheduled to leave Nagercoil Junction at 8 a.m., will be short-terminated at Erode Junction on May 10. Following the works, it will run as an unreserved special train from Erode Junction to Coimbatore Junction, with stoppages as per the regular schedule, the release added.
